Post-Construction Cleaning

At Yellow Glove Cleaning, we provide residential post-construction and post-renovation cleaning services to help you enjoy your newly renovated space. We clean homes after renovations, remodeling projects, repairs, additions, painting, flooring installation, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, and new construction. We’ll work through the space systematically to remove construction dust and debris and clean affected surfaces.

Why Renovations Need Special Cleaning

Fine drywall dust, sawdust, insulation particles, paint splatters, adhesive, grout haze, and other construction materials can settle on surfaces throughout your home. Dust can collect on baseboards, windowsills, cabinets, light fixtures, vents, and other areas that may not be obvious at first glance unless you know what you’re looking for. As experienced cleaners, our detailed, systematic cleaning process is designed to clear away even hidden dust and residue.

What does Post-Construction Cleaning Include?

We can remove ordinary, non-hazardous construction dust and debris from accessible areas. All of our one-time cleaning services include our full house cleaning task list, but for post-construction cleaning, we take particular care to remove:

  • Drywall dust
  • Sawdust
  • Dirt and tracked-in debris
  • Cardboard and packaging
  • Small amounts of leftover renovation debris
  • Grout haze on tiles
  • Paint splatters on the floor or fixtures

We will also do a review of light and water fixtures to ensure they are operational, so we can notify you of any issues before you move in.

Post Construction Cleaning FAQs

When should I schedule post-construction or renovation cleaning?

You should schedule us to clean after your contractors have completed their work and once all major construction debris has been removed. That includes waiting until after painting is complete and fully dried, your cabinets and fixtures have all been installed, and your water and electricity have been turned on.

What kinds of projects do you clean up after?

We’re often called in to handle cleaning after renovations in areas where detailed cleanliness is a top priority like kitchens and bathrooms. Additionally, our attention to detail and experience in spotting messes are invaluable after messy tasks like floor installation, drywalling, and painting are complete. Some clients just prefer to have professional cleaning for large spaces after basement finishing, whole-home renovations, or new-home constructions.
